1. Song lyrics without words
Song lyric ideas are wonderfully elusive. They can also be wonderfully allusive. I love the song ‘Will soon be a woman’ by Ibrahim Maalouf. There are no lyrics, but the song title is so powerful that its all you need.
The tune is reflective and graceful. You can imagine a young girl becoming a woman in the charming trumpet lines. Its full of promise. I have no idea where Maalouf got the idea from, but its a winner.
